Next week, the Kentucky Department of Environmental Protection’s Division of Waste Management (DWM) will host the inaugural Kentucky Solid Waste, Recycling, & Sustainability Conference, open to attendees from state and local government, business and industry, colleges, nonprofit organizations, and the public.
The meeting agenda features panel sessions, keynote speaker addresses, and exhibits on topics including PFAS contamination, landfill gas capture techniques, household hazardous waste management, municipal recycling infrastructure, and more. The conference will also highlight critical issues such as litter impacts on wildlife and waterways and the challenges posed by microplastics.
